Buonasera from Merano!

Welcome back – after a 3-week break – to the latest installment of what’s hot in brands and products.

For the first edition of 2026, I want to zoom out for 20 seconds before we zoom back in on the products: One of the most interesting “trend things” that shows up every January is Pinterest Predicts.

I like that it’s not one person’s hot take. It’s built on what people actually search for on Pinterest, so you get a list of ideas you’d almost never put on your own bingo card.

And it spans everything from style to home to food.

If you’re building anything in 2026, it’s a handy peek at which aesthetics and “vibes” will suddenly feel familiar in six months. Take a look.

Which brings me to you: are you starting something this year?
I definitely am. I’ll share more soon.

If you’re new around here: Every week, I share 5 of the coolest products from Europe I’ve discovered in the past 7 days.

I scout, you explore. Let’s get to it!

With love 🌞
Jakob

P.S.: Missed the last edition? The wooden work bench from Sjöbergs was the most-clicked product.

Quilt 03 [🇬🇧]

London-based textile artist Kangan Arora makes the kind of colour-happy stuff that instantly fixes a boring room.
Her Quilt 03 is a proper patchwork statement (145 × 200 cm) with a reversible side.

Countryside Tablecloth [🇫🇷]

This one is charming: a crisp white tablecloth, hand-embroidered with these little countryside scenes that feel like a Sunday lunch in Provence.
It’s made to order in Marseille by Sarah Espeute and her atelier Œuvres Sensibles, and they recommend a ~4 week lead time. So yes: it’s a tablecloth that requires a bit of commitment. (Which makes it cooler.)

Matisse III Stacking Vessel [🇩🇪🇨🇿🇫🇮]

This is a little “stacking vessel” sculpture that looks like it escaped from a modernist still life. Height 20 cm, diameter 11 cm.
The craft nerd details are great: mouth-blown glass from Czechia, hand-turned wood from Finland, then assembled in Northern Germany. Designed by Pia Wüstenberg for Utopia & Utility.

Stainless Steel 2-Pack Cups [🇩🇰]

These are 250ml stainless steel cups, sold as a set of two, with that clean “Scandi camping, but make it city” vibe.
They’re 18/8 stainless steel, BPA-free, and part of Rains’ HOME AWAY drop (aka “hybrid living” gear for people who alternate between kitchen table and outdoorsy fantasies).
Also: After having lived in Copenhagen for a while 10 years ago, “Defying Danish weather since 2012” feels like a brand mission statement I can respect.

2026 Linen Diary [🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿]

If you’re picky about notebooks (hi, welcome), Mark+Fold is one of those “ahhh yes” finds. This one’s A5, 300gsm cover with matte gold foil, 120gsm fountain-pen-friendly paper, and a thread-sewn layflat binding that actually stays flat.
Designed in London, made in Scotland, printed in Sussex — basically a UK stationery road trip in one object.

Have a look.
