Buonasera from Merano.
Last week was mostly map week over here.
After sending edition 100, I spent a good chunk of the week fixing, adding, moving, adjusting, and occasionally wondering why I ever thought building a map with 500 products would be a quick little side project.
Thanks to everyone who sent feedback.
I updated quite a few things already, and if you checked it out last week, it’s worth opening again.
I even shared it on Reddit, which is a bit like walking into a room full of strangers and asking them to judge your haircut under fluorescent lighting.
But surprisingly, in one of the main subreddits that’s actually relevant to this newsletter, the feedback was… decent. For Reddit standards, that’s almost a standing ovation.
And to everyone who found the newsletter through that post: welcome! Very happy to have you here.
The map is still very much a living thing. But that’s also the nice part. Every week, five more products get added to it.
Speaking of which.
If you’re new around here: Every week, I share 5 of the nicest products from Europe I’ve discovered in the past 7 days.
I scout, you explore.
With love 🌞
Jakob
P.S.: Missed the last edition? The ceramic cups made by Ella Fatima Ceramis in Paris was the most-clicked product.
A quick note from this week’s sponsor.
(Tiny disclaimer: not European, but I use it almost every day to save time typing.)

March Gut – Profil Fauteuil 🇦🇹
I sat in this arm chair the other day in an architect’s office, which felt about right. March Gut’s Profil series looks very “architects discussing concrete samples”, but the surprise is: it’s actually nice to sit on. Rough outside, soft landing.
Famag – Grilletta Spiral Mixer 🇮🇹
The Famag Grilletta is a countertop spiral mixer for people who take dough seriously. Pizza, bread, pasta, biga, all the flour-based joys. Compact, sturdy, and probably overkill unless you enjoy hydration percentages. Which, honestly, I respect.
Aleyè – The Elemental Squeezer 🇮🇹
Aleyè’s Elemental Squeezer helps you get the last bit out of creams, balms, lotions, and expensive tubes that pretend to be empty too early. Small object. Big satisfaction.
Kähler – Hammershøi Spice Mill 🇩🇰
From Danish ceramics house Kähler comes the Hammershøi spice mill, designed by Hans-Christian Bauer. Wood, ceramic, soft ridges, very calm kitchen vibes.
Clicks – Communicator 🇬🇧
From London-based Clicks comes the Communicator, a tiny Android phone with a real physical keyboard and strong BlackBerry energy. It has 5G, a 4-inch AMOLED screen, and one very clear idea: messages over doomscrolling. Thumbs are back.
